Barefoot walking has been very popular in the Czech Republic. While we couldn’t really recommend walking barefoot in the cities there is lots of beautiful places in the nature where you can practice this healthy hobby. So throw your shoes away and walk with us barefoot around the Czech Republic!

What is Barefoot Path

What is a barefoot path you ask? Barefoot path or bosá stezka is a new touristic trend in the Czech Republic. It is a route where you can walk barefood on different terrain (especially different material such as sand, earth, pebbles or conifer needles.

Barefoot around Czech Republic

1. Adventure path in Jeseník

This pathway will lead you around the Spring of Bezruč (Bezručův pramen, named after the writer Petr Bezruč) in thevillage of Lázně Jeseník (spa village in the Olomouc region).

2. Educative Pathway Valtice

From the Austrian town of Schrattenberg to the South-Moravian gem Valtice, this pathway will lead you to 11 educative stages and make you walk one cones as well as stones and sand.

3. Terčino údolí

Terčino údolí is a valley in a South-Bohemian natural park, about 1 km from the town of Nové Hrady and 30 km from České Budějovice.

4. Zeměráj

Zeměráj means “heaven on Earth” and you can find this barefoot path close to the Czech capital, in the village called Kovářov u Orlíka.

5. Barefoot path Borky

The forest park Borky lies near Kolín in Central Bohemia and on the river Labe.

6. EkoPark Liberec

The EkoPark in Liberec offers not only a barefoot path but also many places for relaxation and recreational sport and all that almost in the city center.

7. Staré Hamry, Beskydy

Staré Hamry is a town in the Beskydy mountains, on both the Moravian and the Silesian side. The barefoot path is a part of the 10 km educational trail Gruň – Bílý kříž.

8. Prague 6

9. Barefoot near Pilsen

Heřmanova Huť is a town near Pilsen. There’s a short but nice barefoot path at the end of Školní street.

10. Meanders of Botič, Prague 15

Meandry Botiče is a natural park in Prague 15 with another short barefoot path. You can walk here on wood, large stones and small pebbles.

11. Kittel Museum

The Kittel Museum can be found in the town of Pěnín near Liberec. The museum has an exposition of the so called North-Bohemian dr. Faust – the healer dr. Kittel. And there’s a barefoot path at the museum.

12. Říčanka park, Dubeč

Dubeč is a town right at Prague and it features the Říčanka park with its barefoot path, a labyrinth and other attractions the children will love.
