Gate Pravčická (Pravčická brána) – Largest Rock Bridge in Europe
Gate Pravčická is the symbol of Czech Switzerland National Park in Northern Bohemia near the town of Hřensko. With its 26,5 meters in width and being 16 meters tall, it’s the largest rock bridge in Europe.
The gate appeared in the movie The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe from 2005.

Elephant Rocks (Sloní skály)
Elephant Rocks are an isolated 20-meter-tall sandstone formation in the Lusatian Mountains (Lužické hory). There are several small caverns and a 4-meter-long tunnel. The rocks are called Elephant Rocks because from far, they look like an elephant herd, however, they are also known as the White Rocks.
Adršpach-Teplice Rocks (Adršpašsko-teplické skály)
Adršpašsko-teplické skály is the Czech name of the largest rock city in Europe. The first tourist trails were established after a massive fire in the 19th century which lasted several weeks and cleared the rocks of trees. The formation is known for thousands of rock towers, the tallest of which reaches 81,4 meter. This labyrinth of rocks offers breathtaking nature views, a “street” only 50 cm wide and a lake with crystal clear water. You might have seen glimpses of the rocks in the Czech fairy-tale The Third Prince.
“Organ” Rock (Varhany, Panská skála)
A rock that looks like organ pipes, that is Panská skála, a protected natural monument in Czech Switzerland. This basalt formation was one of the filming locations for 1952 fairy-tale The Proud Princes.
Devil’s Heads (Čertovy hlavy)
If you visit the pine tree forest at the village Želízy, you might enjoy the sight of these two scary sandrocks shaped like the devil’s rocks. As you could probably tell, these are not a wonder of nature. They were sculpted between 1841 and 1846 by Václav Levý, who was a professional cook and a sculpting autodidact.
Broumov Walls (Broumovské stěny)
Broumovsko is a protected natural landscape in North-easters Bohemia, near the borders with Poland. The so-called Broumov Walls, which are a complex of rock cities, towers and gorges, are situated between the municipalities of Broumoc and Police nad Metují. One of the most interesting sights are the so-called rock boletus, mushroom-like rocks shaped by erosion.
The sandstone rocks tower over a large reservoir of potable water.
Jetřichovice Walls (Jetřichovické stěny)
Jetřichovické stěny is complex of sandstone towers and rock cities in Czech Switzerland. Some of the rocks are called Rudolph’s stone, Vilemina’s Wall or Marie’s Rock and they offer some breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
Prachov Walls (Prachovské skály)
The Prachov Walls in the Bohemian Paradise (10 km from the town Jičín) are a popular destination of rock climbers. Some of the rocks are up to 40 meters tall.

Tisá Walls (Tiské stěny)
The rock city Tiské Walls is situates in the western part of the protected landscafe of Labské pískovce. Together with the neighbourign Rájecké Walls and Ostrovské Walls, this complex with its 70-meter-tall peaks is very popular with the rock climbers.
Toulovec Stables (Toulovcovy Maštale and Městské Maštale)
Toulovcovy Maštale and Městské Maštale are rock formations in the natural reservation on the borders between Chrudim District and Svitavy District. The rock city consists of a labyrinth of halls, caverns and gorges. Many of the rocks have peculiar names such as Fox’s Den, Kitchen or Umbrella.
The area is easily accessible by bike as there are many bike paths around the rock city.
